Sourced from a small family owned Mendocino vineyard, this Poor Ranch zinfandel is dry farmed and organic, yielding a complex and concentrated wine with notes of blackberry and black cherry, soft tannins and a delicate finish. Harvested at a lower brix below 25, the palate experience is not as "fruit forward" as the more common "jammy" California zinfandels. Ideally this will be consumed beginning in 2024 and will continue to evolve complexity with cellaring well for 5 or more years.
